Seat Backs

With the QB kit, I built one seat back.

I put the aft top skin on before mounting the seat belt cable brace. That is an easy way to turn a 5 minute job into a 45 minute job. The brace is easy to attach with three AN3-5A bolts.

Using the supplied seat as a guide, construction of the second seatback is easy. I clamped the corrugated seat back to the side right angles using C-clamps, and then pulled the seat back to the angles along the entire length. Once it was held against the right angles, I marked and drilled the holes for the -4 rivets.

The seat back adjustment brace is another easy task. Most of the pieces are supplied cut to shape and it goes together just like the plans say.

Here is the finished brace in use.
