Most people start by building the tail.
The first finished piece--the horizontal stabilizer.
The VS is similar to building half the HS. In many ways, it would be better built before the HS as practice.
Both skins clecoed onto the skeleton of the HS.
Here the rudder is test fit to the VS.
On the 6, the elevator skins are 0.016". They are supported with stiffeners. The wafer-thin skins are well supported after the stiffeners are added.
The trim tab is shown. The electric motor mounts in the elevator.
This photo shows the brace for the left elevator. The trim tab is hinged on this brace and fits in the notch shown.
