Flight Controls

One floor rib is made removable to allow for
insertion of the control column. The horizontal
control column pivots on right angle braces
which attach to the wing spar. Control sticks are
attached to either side. Then the floor ribs and floor
plates are trimmed to allow unrestricted motion of
the control sticks.

Test fit of control column.
The ribs around the pilot stick have
been trimmed to allow full motion
of the control stick. The co-pilot
side has not yet been trimmed.

I used a rotary rasp on a die
grinder to remove the ribs and
allow full motion of the
pilot side stick.
